Microclimate citrus grove aerial image

You can see in this aerial image of our citrus grove where the frost has formed and more importantly where it hasn’t. Large vegetation such as the hedge and established trees have kept the immediate area warm enough to prevent frost. So too has the tank, which is almost full of water and provides plenty of thermal mass to regulate the air temperature. The studio building (at the bottom of the image) has provided some protection as well.

As the newly planted citrus trees grow, the citrus grove should become and even warmer microclimate.
