Some of my just starting to fruit strawbs look like the above pic. They are all new plants, purchased from a nursery. No pests that I can see, and about 8 0f the 12 plants seem to have normal fruit. Can you suggest something I can do to help these little non performers.

This “deformity” in strawberries is usually caused by poor pollination. Planting plenty of flowering plants to attract pollinators such as bees and other beneficial insects should help remedy it.
